If you want to become a teacher in Jersey then you have to complete a number of requirements before you can be fully qualified in this state. Similar to other states, there are certification requirements and there are two main routes of getting certified.
Anyone who wants to become a teacher in New Jersey must have a bachelor’s degree except for certain subjects (such as careers and technology). The superintendent TExES exam is required to become a superintendent in the State of Texas. I thought I’d write a quick post about it today because next week (at the time of writing – 16th April 2011) a new version of the superintendent TExES exam is due to be brought into the picture. I have been receiving quite a few emails about the superintendent role in the State of Texas, so I’ve decided to put together a guide about it.
The superintendent role is a position of high authority in all states – Texas is no different. As a superintendent of a school district in Texas, you’ll be responsible for decision making for a wide range of schools, will be the first point of contact for staff at the various schools and will be in charge of hiring and firing employees in the various schools. Superintendents are also responsible for handling the media especially in times of crisis / controversy in the district.
